(Alliance News) - Alien Metals Ltd said Thursday it is in process of submitting applications for permission to drill at its Los Campos and San Celso silver projects in Mexico.
The exploration and development company said it has submitted applications to SEMARNAT, the Environmental Ministry of Mexico, as per Mexican regulations, in order to obtain drilling permission at Los Campos and San Celso.
Discussions with various drilling companies are in progress, Alien Metals noted.
The company also said Technical Director Bill Brodie Good will conduct a site visit this month and will meet with service providers and potential joint venture partners.
Both of these events tie into potential long term development plans for the projects, the company said.
"With the submission of the drill programmes I am hoping permission will be obtained soon to give Alien the opportunity to carry out initial drill testing on the highly prospective Los Campos and San Celso projects," Brodie Good said.
In September, Alien Metals reported more high-grade silver results had been returned from its San Celso and Los Campos projects in Mexico. Results included up to 1,275 grammes of silver per tonne of ore at San Celso and 547 grammes of silver per tonne of ore at Los Campos. Highly anomalous silver was found at both concessions.
Alien Metals shares were down 1.4% at 0.21 pence each on Thursday.
