LONDON (Alliance News) - Akers Biosciences Inc on Monday said it has signed six new distribution deals for its rapid tests for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, adding a further nine countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to its markets.
Akers said it has signed multi-year distribution agreements for its rapid assay products with Pathway Diagnostics Ltd in the UK; ACCUSCIENCE Ireland Ltd in Ireland and Northern Ireland; Tokra Medikal Tic Ltd for Turkey; LabPro covering Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina; AVL Sofia Ltd for Bulgaria; and MASTERLAB Sarl in Morocco.
No financial details were revealed on the distribution agreements.
"As sales of our rapid tests for HIT continue to rise in the US we are actively seeking to roll out the marketing to other countries around the world," said Raymond Akers Jr, executive chairman of the company.
"These additional distribution partnerships add to our expanding global footprint which now exposes the company's flagship test to 20 non-US markets including China," Akers added.
