LONDON (Alliance News) - Akers Biosciences Inc on Monday said the European Patent Office has issued a patent covering the company's blood separator technology and the method for separating a fluid fraction from the whole blood.
The European patent award comes after the group secured US patent protection for the technology back in 2011.
"We believe the company's blood separator technology has a wide range of potential applications and we are actively seeking potential commercialisation partners and licensees in both Europe and the US," said Akers Executive Chairman Raymond Akers.
