AJ Bell buys Adalpha as it looks to expand mobile offering

19th Mar 2021 10:32

(Alliance News) - Fund supermarket AJ Bell PLC on Friday said it has acquired the Adalpha group of companies, including Ad Alpha Solutions Ltd, which is developing an investment app for financial advisers.

Shares in AJ Bell were down 0.4% to 422.50 pence in London.

AJ Bell, a FTSE 250 constituent, said that Adalpha has the potential to complement its own adviser platform business, Investcentre.

"Financial advisers need a variety of propositions to match a diverse range of client needs. The Adalpha team are working on a simplified, mobile focused platform service that will broaden our offering to financial advisers and help them service a wider base of clients," AJ Bell Chief Executive Andy Bell said.
