(Alliance News) - Airtel Africa PLC on Thursday said it has formed a strategic partnership with cross-border payments and money transfers services provider MoneyGram.
Under the MoneyGram partnership, Airtel Money customers in 12 countries will be able to route any MoneyGram transfer received from around the world into their mobile money wallets on their phone.
"This latest partnership is in line with the group's strategy of expanding the range and depth of Airtel Money offerings to drive customer growth and penetration," the Africa-focused telecoms and mobile money services provider said.
Shares in Airtel Africa were down 0.9% at 58.00 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
