LONDON (Alliance News) - Air Partner PLC said Friday its appointed a new finance head and interim chair at the aviation services firm.
Joanne Estell has been appointed chief financial officer from next Monday. Estell - a qualified accountant - most recently served as CFO at Shield Therapeutics PLC and Stadium Group PLC. Prior to this, she served in finance roles at Whitbread PLC, Smiths Group PLC and Survitec Group PLC.
Estell will replace interim CFO Chris Mann. He will remain at the firm until next Thursday.
Former CFO Neil Morris resigned in mid-April after the company discovered an accounting error following internal investigations related to customer receivable collection since between 2011 and January.
Meanwhile, Richard Jackson has been appointed as interim chairman with immediate effect. This is after previous Chairman Peter Saunders - a previous boss of Body Shop International PLC who had served as chair since 2014 - died in late August after a short illness.
Air Partner is currently searching for a permanent replacement for Saunders.
Air Partner Chief Executive Officer Mark Briffa said he was "delighted" Estell was jointing the firm as he "strong technical and controls skills coupled with her plc and commercial experience, will be invaluable as we continue to pursue our clear long term strategy to become a world class aviation services group and capture the considerable opportunities to improve and grow multiple areas of our business."
"Separately," Briffa added, "I'd like to thank Chris Mann for the excellent support and insight he has provided as interim CFO and Richard Jackson for assuming the role of interim chairman."
Shares in Air Partner were 1.7% higher at 111.90 pence on Friday.
