LONDON (Alliance News) - Air Partner PLC said Thursday that Non-Executive Chairman Peter Saunders has died after a short illness as it begins the search for his successor.
Saunders - a previous boss of Body Shop International PLC - was appointed chairman of the aviation services firm in 2017, having been on its board since 2014.
"It has been a great privilege to work with Peter for the last few years and so it is with tremendous sadness that we learn of his passing," Air Partner Chief Executive Officer Mark Briffa said.
"Personally I will miss him, his years of experience, his guidance, support and challenge," Briffa added. "Peter and I shared an unwavering belief of where our organisation should be on the global stage. He was unflinching and determined to support the hard work required to achieve this objective."
Air Partner will begin the search for the successor to Saunders in "due course".
Shares in Air Partner were 0.2% lower at 119.00 pence on Thursday.
