AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Tekmar gets win; Surgical Innovations hit by flu

18th Dec 2025 10:17

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM on Thursday.

----------

AIM - WINNERS

----------

Tekmar Group PLC, up 20% at 9.90 pence, 12-month range 4.00p-10.50p. The technology and services provider for the offshore energy industry says it was won a "significant contract award" worth over EUR8 million with an existing engineering, procurement & construction customer. Tekmar will provide its services to a "major UK offshore wind farm". "The contract award reflects the strength of Tekmar's relationship with this existing customer and its proven track record in delivering reliable, technically robust protection technology," Tekmar says.

----------

Eden Research PLC, up 10% at 2.65p, 12-month range 1.96p-4.60p. The developer of biopesticides and formulation technologies for the crop protection, animal health and consumer products industries announces a distribution deal. It appoints Syngenta Crop Protection AG as its exclusive distribution partner for professional uses in indoor and outdoor ornamental crops. "Eden and Syngenta will register and develop the market for Eden's novel fungicide product, to be marketed by Syngenta as 'Evelta', for uses such as cut flowers, pot plants, trees, shrubs, and bulbs. Eden shall be responsible for, and maintain ownership of, the product registrations, whilst Syngenta will invest in, conduct, and provide access to, the biological efficacy data needed for registration purposes," Eden adds.

----------

AIM - LOSERS

----------

Surgical Innovations Group PLC, down 37% at 0.35p, 12-month range 0.33p-0.75p. The surgical and medical instrument manufacturer says sales so far in the last quarter of the year have been "softer than anticipated". It puts this down to a "global flu epidemic" which has hit key markets. Industrial action in the UK's National Health Service has "compounded" this. "Sales in December have also been adversely affected by a one-off quality issue relating to key components supplied by an OEM partner, which constrained our manufacturing of their product. The issues have been promptly addressed and supply is resuming, with normal deliveries expected in early 2026," it added. The company now expects revenue of around GBP11.5 million for the year, "with a commensurate impact on profits". It had previously expected revenue of GBP11.8 million.
