AIM WINNERS & LOSERS: Kitwave reports revenue boost, accepts OEP offer

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers on AIM on Thursday.

AIM - WINNERS

Kitwave Group PLC, up 33% at 293.5 pence, 12-month range 200p-334p. Announces acceptance of 295p per share cash takeover bid from OEP Capital Advisers LP funds, valuing Kitwave at approximately GBP251 million. Company also reports annual results, with revenue of GBP802.7 million for the year ended October 31, up 21% from GBP663.7 million the year before. Pretax profit decreases slightly to GBP22.4 million from GBP22.5 million. Basic earnings per share decrease to 20.1p from 23.5p. The North Shields, England-based food wholesaler reaffirms its intention to distribute a dividend for the eight months ended December 31. Says trading is in line with management expectations, although it acknowledges that the current macroeconomic environment is uncertain with inflationary pressures affecting margins and costs.

AIM - LOSERS

GENinCode PLC, down 43% at 1.05p, 12-month range 1.05p-5.8p. Raises gross proceeds of GBP3.9 million through issuing 388.1 million shares through its placing and subscription, announced on Wednesday alongside a proposed retail offer, at 1p each. The Oxford-based genetic testing company says this represents a 47% discount to its closing middle market price of 1.90p on Tuesday. Expects to announce the results of the retail offer on Monday.

Landore Resources Ltd, down 28% at 2.6 pence, 12-month range 2.4p-5.55p. Shares are restored to AIM as the company releases its updated mineral resource estimates for its flagship BAM Gold Project on its Junior Lake Property in Ontario. The updated BAM MRE is 622,300 ounces of gold indicated and 33,700 ounces of gold inferred, down 21% and 53%, respectively, from the inside-pit equivalent estimates reported in 2022. The North America-focused precious, base and battery metal exploration and development company says it is considering all strategic options, including a full exit from the Junior Lake asset. Company currently intends to continue exploration activities, however.
