11th Nov 2019 10:18

(Alliance News) - Investor Agronomics Ltd confirmed on Monday a plan to raise up to GBP20 million by issuing new shares.

The firm, which invests in companies developing products such as artificial meat, made the statement "in response to press speculation".

Agronomics has over the past month made several investments, including Shiok Meats, Vitrolabs Inc, and Rebellyous Foods.

Following this, and to make investments in the future, Agronomics is to raise up to GBP20 million. It will issue shares at 5.5 pence per share, its net asset value per share as of September 30.

Shares in the Isle of Man-based company were 0.5% lower on Monday morning in London at a price of 5.60 pence each.

Zeus Capital Ltd has been appointed as a broker for the placing, acting alongside existing broker Peterhouse Corporate Finance.
