LONDON (Alliance News) - Agronomics Ltd on Friday said it appointed Richard Reed and David Giampaolo as independent non-executive directors with immediate effect.
Reed was also appointed as non-executive chair in succession to Jim Mellon who will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
The AIM-listed company said Reed is a co-founder of soft drinks firm Innocent Drinks and JamJar Investments.
"I am confident that under his [Reed] stewardship the company will deliver shareholder value as we transition from biopharma into an investing company with a clear focus on alternative food technology," said Agronomics Director Denham Eke.
Meanwhile, Giampaolo is chief executive of investment firm Pi Capital and chair of SCA Investments Ltd, the parent company of Gousto, a recipe box company.
"Giampaolo not only has an extremely successful background in health and fitness, but also as an entrepreneur with extensive connections which makes him a significant addition to our board," added Eke.
Agronomics shares were trading 11% higher on Friday at 5.00 pence each.
