LONDON (Alliance News) - Temporary power supplier Aggreko PLC Monday said it is aware of media reports that it has withdrawn from the bidding process for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic games, but said the tender process is ongoing and it is "unable to comment further".
"Aggreko notes media reports that it has withdrawn from the bidding process for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic games. The tender process is ongoing and as such Aggreko is unable to comment further at this stage," said the company in a statement.
Earlier Monday, Reuters reported that Aggreko had pulled out of the tender to provide temporary power generators for the Olympic games, citing a spokesman for the games.

Aggreko shares were down 0.7% to 920.0 pence per share on Monday.
