LONDON (Alliance News) - African Potash Ltd on Wednesday said it has agreed a cooperation and exclusivity agreement with Zambia-based non-profit Nutri-Aid.
African Potash, which runs fertiliser operations at potash projects in Africa, said it will provide assistance to Nutri-Aid's supply network under the agreement. It will sell urea and other fertiliser products to Nutri-Aid's agricultural product outlets at a "competitive price".
The first delivery under the agreement was made on Sunday and sales thus far under the agreement have yielded USD50,000 in revenue for African Potash.
"We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Nutri-Aid, which gives African Potash access to sales outlets for small holder farmers. I am pleased to report that initial revenues have already been generated and funds received," said Chris Cleverly, African Potash's executive chairman.
African Potash shares were flat at 0.45 pence.
