African Potash In Talks With Eastern And Southern Africa Common Market

LONDON (Alliance News) - African Potash Ltd said Thursday it has entered into talks with a free trade union for twenty African member states, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, with the aim of creating a platform for the mining, production and distribution of fertiliser focused on the Eastern and Southern Africa region and beyond.

The company said talks will be focused on the union and African Potash partnering to advance the union's fertiliser development programme.

African Potash said further details of its talks, and the development of its strategy to advance into the fertiliser space, will be announced in due course.

Shares in African Potash are trading up 2.5% at 0.415 pence Thursday morning.
