AFC Energy Reassures Investors On Coronavirus Preparations

19th Mar 2020 18:19

(Alliance News) - AFC Energy PLC on Thursday said it was taking all steps needed in preparation for any disruption caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The company said it was in regular contact with its partners and supply chain, including key industrial partners such as Industrie De Nora headquartered in Italy, regarding their own preparations for any disruption caused by Covid-19. AFC said it has been reassured by the actions taken to mitigate against the long term effect of business disruption.

The company added that despite challenging times caused by the outbreak, it was seeking to "maintain momentum" following the successful launch and interest received for its H-Power systems over recent months and was continuing to advance its commercial pipeline.

Chief Executive Officer Adam Bond said "The consequential impact of Covid-19 at this stage is impossible to fully predict, however, we are taking all actions to ensure the effect of any delays on manufacturing and system deployment are mitigated to the greatest extent possible. These are uncertain times and present material uncertainty and challenges for our families, friends and acquaintances. I'm very thankful and proud of the commitment our staff have shown in pulling together at this time to continue our recent successes and wish all our friends and family safety over the coming weeks and months."

Shares in the hydrogen power generation provider closed up 5.1% at 12,39 pence on Thursday in London.
