AFC Energy Hits 200 Kilowatts From German KORE Plant For First Time

1st Feb 2016 10:01

LONDON (Alliance News) - Industrial fuel cell company AFC Energy PLC on Monday said it has hit a milestone by delivering gross electrical output of over 200 kilowatts from its KORE fuel cell power plant in Stade in Germany.

AFC said this marked the first time all three tiers of the KORE system had operated in parallel to successfully send power to the German grid.

"As a company, we've come an extraordinary distance over the past twelve months and today marks a significant milestone achievement, most importantly being the delivery of a fuel cell stack which has generated in excess of its nameplate capacity of 10 kilowatts," said Adam Bond, AFC's chief executive.

Shares in AFC were up 0.8% to 26.45 pence.
