AFC Energy Gets First Permit For German Alkaline Fuel Cell Facility

26th Mar 2015 09:39

LONDON (Alliance News) - AFC Energy PLC on Thursday said it has received the first partial building permit in Stade in Germany to build an industrial alkaline fuel-cell facility.

The permit will mean AFC can proceed with foundation works and the reinforced steel concrete base at the site, along with support for this work.

AFC said it expects construction work to start at Stade next week.

"We are grateful for the close collaboration AFC has had with the consenting agencies in Stade and hope this constructive and professional relationship continues as we both look to deliver a world class fuel cell facility into the region," said AFC Chief Executive Adam Bond.

Shares in AFC were up 17% to 25.00 pence on Thursday, one of the best performers in the London Main Market.
