LONDON (Alliance News) - International Consolidated Airlines Group SA said Thursday the chief executive officer of Aer Lingus, Stephen Kavanagh, will step down at the beginning of January.
Aer Lingus is one of IAG's subsidiaries alongside British Airways, Iberia, Vueling and LEVEL.
Kavanagh, however, will remain on the Aer Lingus board as a non-executive director.
The company added that BA's director of network, fleet and alliances Sean Doyle will replace Kavanagh as CEO of Aer Lingus.
Willie Walsh, IAG chief executive and Aer Lingus chairman, said: "Kavanagh has been an exceptional chief executive and has transformed and modernised Aer Lingus.
"After a 30-year career, he has decided to step down. We're delighted that Stephen will remain on Aer Lingus' board and provide advice and guidance to the airline".
IAG shares were trading down 1.6% at 581.80 pence each.
