LONDON (Alliance News) - Live events company Aeorema Communications PLC on Thursday said its pretax profit fell in the year to the end of June, but expressed confidence in the second half of its current financial year.
Aeorema said its pretax profit in the year to the end of June was down to GBP383,216, from GBP504,841 a year earlier, despite revenue increasing to GBP4.9 million from GBP4.8 million. The weaker profit was down to the company making investments in the business, including a new website and the refurbishment of its offices.
Still, the group said it will pay a final dividend of 3.0 pence per share, up from 2.0p a year earlier. The company doesn't pay an interim dividend, though last year it did pay a 3.0p special dividend as well.
The company said the market looks competitive going forward but said it expects higher revenue and profit in the second half of the year to June 2016 than the first, in line with its traditional split.
Shares on Aeorema were up 3.6% to 39.90 pence on Thursday.
