Advanced Oncotherapy To Complete Harley Street Work By March 2018

24th Nov 2016 16:35

LONDON (Alliance News) - Advanced Oncotherapy PLC on Thursday said it expects to start building the Harley Street site early next year and to complete construction in 2018, and said changes have also been made to its agreement with Sinophi Healthcare Ltd.

The company, which develops proton therapy systems for cancer treatment, secured planning permission for its project at Harley Street in London last month, where it plans to install its first LIGHT system, a proton beam therapy programme developed by the London-listed firm.

The company said building work will start in early January and should be completed by March 2018.

Separately, Advanced Oncotherapy said Sinophi Healthcare, which had placed an order for LIGHT technology to be installed on behalf customers at two sites, has decided not to install the systems in those locations.

The systems were to be installed in the hospitals of China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University in Changchun and First People's Hospital of Huai'An.

Advanced Oncotherapy said the orders "remain in place" and other sites to install the systems are now being assessed.

Advanced Oncotherapy shares closed up 3.4% to 91.0 pence per share on Thursday.
