LONDON (Alliance News) - Advanced Oncotherapy PLC on Monday said it obtained ISO certification, enabling it to continue to develop the LIGHT proton therapy system.
The company, focused on developing proton therapy system for cancer treatment, said that the ISO 13485:2016 certification is the "internationally recognised quality standard to ensure the consistent design, development, production, installation and sale of medical devices that are safe for their intended purposes".
The granting of the certification represents a major "milestone" for the company as it enables it to carry on the development of the LIGHT proton therapy system in compliance with the highest standards for safety and product performance.
Advanced Oncotherapy shares were trading down 1.3% at 38.01 pence each.
