LONDON (Alliance News) - Proton therapy systems developer Advanced Oncotherapy PLC on Tuesday said it has continued to make progress on development milestones for its LIGHT proton accelerator device.
Advanced Oncotherapy said the proton source has been fully assembled in France, and the company has now taken charge of the unit. It expects it to be shipped to its site in Geneva once testing has been carried out in France.
Advanced Oncotherapy added the four modules which make up the Radio Frequency Quadruple, a technology it has licensed from CERN, has been assembled in Geneva and tuning will start at the end of March.
The development of the LIGHT system remains on track, the company said, with further integration and testing work to continue through 2016.
Advanced Oncotherapy shares were up 1.6% to 7.75 pence.
