LONDON (Alliance News) - Advanced Oncotherapy PLC Wednesday said it will appoint a former investment banker as its new global head of finance and as an executive director.
In a statement, Advanced Oncotherapy, which is focused on developing next generation of proton-particle therapy for treating cancer, said Nicolas Serandour, who has 15 years' experience in investment banking, having worked at JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Lazard, where he was most recently responsible for coordinating the European Healthcare sector coverage, will take on the role from September 1.
"Our current priority is execution and creating value. Nicolas knows the healthcare industry well. He brings with him a great combination of finance, capital allocation, value-based planning and strategy skills - critically needed skills as we execute our strategy and deliver long-term value to our shareholders and focus on excellence in execution," Chief Executive Sanjeev Pandya, also a former Lehman Brothers investment banker, said in a statement.
Serandour will replace Graham Pughe, who was chosen to act as interim finance director when Don Baladasan resigned in August 2013.
Pughe will continue with the company as vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. He will report to Serandour.
Advanced Oncotherapy shares were Wednesday quoted down 0.7% at 3.70 pence.
