LONDON (Alliance News) - Active Energy Group PLC said Monday it is making "rapid progress" constructing its CoalSwitch operation in Lumberton, North Carolina, US.
The renewable energy and forestry management firm said all of the reactors needed for the site have been delivered.
Previously, the company said construction of the five tonne per hour is expected to start within the month, with ancillary construction activities starting with the building of weighbridges and other infrastructure items for the handling of biomass.
The plant is expected to transform "low-cost" biomass material into "high-value" green fuels.
Shares in Active Energy were up 3.0% Monday at 0.43 pence each.
