(Alliance News) - Active Energy Group PLC on Thursday said it has appointed engineering & consulting firm, Absolute Welding & Consulting, to install the commercial scale reactors at its industrial site in Lumberton, North Carolina.
The renewable energy company said Absolute Welding will manage and execute the installation of the commercial scale reactors at Lumberton, with work set to commence imminently. Work anticipated to be completed in the upcoming months with the five-tonne per hour CoalSwitch plant to be operational in the final quarter of 2019.
CoalSwitch is a proprietary technology that transforms biomass material into green fuels.
"We expect the Absolute Welding engineers to leverage their experience in plant construction to ensure that the reactors are installed in a timely manner so that Active Energy can start delivering product to market in order to generate commercial sales of CoalSwitch," said Active Energy Chief Executive Michael Rowan.
Active Energy shares were untraded on Thursday in London, last closing at 0.39 pence each.
