(Alliance News) - Biomass-based renewable energy firm Active Energy Group PLC on Monday said it has hired Max Aitken and Jason Zimmermann as independent non-executive directors.
Aitken is chief executive of renewable energy company Estover Energy Ltd, a director at solar energy company 3Ti Energy Hubs, and a non-executive director for television & film management & production company 42 M&P Ltd. He was previously a director at power plant Kent Renewable Energy Ltd.
Zimmerman is president of forest management company Zimmfor Management Services Ltd.
"We are delighted to welcome such highly experienced board members. Max's experience in the UK biomass sector in the last 10 years will help AEG accelerate its future biomass expansion plans, and Jason's acknowledged expertise of timberland assets globally will further complement AEG's growth strategy," said AEG Chief Executive Michael Rowan.
Active Energy shares were up 4.6% at 0.52 pence each at midday Monday in London.
