LONDON (Alliance News) - Active Energy Group PLC said Wednesday that its application for the Crown Timber licence and forestry management agreement with the Canadian government is still under the final stages of review by the relevant departments.
The renewable energy company said the application to the government of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada "has continued".
At the end of July, the government had said it expected the review to be completed at the end of the month, with final approval expected in August.
Back in July Active Energy said: "The government has confirmed that as this is the first application of its kind regarding the grant of a forestry management agreement, it has provoked considerable interest and review from all those involved."
Shares in the company were trading up 2.8% at 2.77 pence each.
