LONDON (Alliance News) - Action Hotels PLC said it opened its first hotel in partnership with Premier Inn in Sharjah in the UAE on Wednesday.
Action Hotels, which owns branded three and four-star hotels in the Middle East and Australia, said that the Premier Inn Sharjah has 168 rooms and is located in the centre of Sharjah. It has received its first paying guests and early business enquiries are encouraging, it said.
Action Hotels added that it expects the hotel to break even within the first three months of operation and said the Premier Inn brand should drive occupancy from the day of opening.
Premier Inn is owned by FTSE 100-listed Whitbread PLC.
"I am delighted that Premier Inn Sharjah is now open. The hotel enjoys a superb location in the heart of Sharjah and is the first internationally branded economy hotel in the Emirate. We are confident in the hotel's future success. Sharjah is well-positioned for both leisure and business travel and is a hub of culture and activity, having been named Arab Tourism Capital for 2015," Chief Executive Alan Debare said in a statement.
