Acta Launches New Hydrogen Battery Product At German Trade Fair

7th Apr 2014 09:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - Acta SpA, the clean energy products company, said Monday it has launched its new hydrogen battery product range, called the Acta Power Cube, at a technology trade fair in Hannover, Germany.

The Acta Power Cube has been developed under the company's collaboration agreement with ReliOn Inc. In February, the group signed a co-operation agreement with fuel cell manufacturer ReliOn to promote its new back-up power system in North America.

The Acta Power Cube is a compact, self-recharging fuel-cell back-up power system designed for mass-market applications in railway signalling, telecommunications, transportation, security and government sectors

The product range, which is available in indoor and outdoor versions, has a power output from 200 watts to 1,100 watts, and can be fed by tap water, rain water or air condensation.

"We believe that this new product range will accelerate the take-up of fuel cell products in smaller, high-volume energy storage applications," said Chief Executive Paolo Bert in a statement.

The group said that the Acta Power Cube will be on display at the Hannover Messe technology trade fair until April 11.

Acta shares were trading 0.7% lower Monday morning at 6.58 pence per share.
