(Alliance News) - accesso Technology Group PLC on Wednesday said it has been selected as the guest experience technology provider for the Qiddiya City mega-project in Saudi Arabia, marking a major international "win" for the firm.
The Berkshire, England-based provider of software for the leisure, entertainment and cultural sectors said it will deploy its accesso Horizon solution across Qiddiya's portfolio of planned attractions, including Six Flags Qiddiya and Aquarabia - set to become the country's largest water theme park.
Located southwest of Riyadh, Qiddiya City is part of Saudi Arabia's 'vision 2030' strategy to diversify its economy and grow its entertainment and cultural sectors. Spanning over 300 square kilometres, the city is being promoted as a future hub of tourism, sports, and leisure.
Qiddiya Chief Technology Officer Abdulrahman Al-Ali said accesso was chosen for its "extensive global experience with leading entertainment operators" and called the partnership "a key foundation for our success".
accesso said its technology will support a unified ticketing and visitor management platform that integrates all Qiddiya experiences - from advanced online booking to on-site guest interactions. The system is designed to scale alongside Qiddiya's ongoing development, offering open APIs for integration with other technology partners.
"We are proud to work with Qiddiya on this exciting and visionary project," said accesso Chief Executive Officer Steve Brown. "With the accesso Horizon solution, Qiddiya City will have the future-proof tools to deliver stellar experiences and set new standards for entertainment excellence in the region."
Shares in accesso Technology were flat at 410.00 pence in London on Wednesday morning. They are down 24% over the past 12 months.
