Accesso Technology Chief Executive Moves To Executive Chairman

24th May 2016 08:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - Accesso Technology Group PLC on Tuesday announced a management reshuffle as it said trading in 2016 has been strong so far.

Accesso, which provides ticketing and queue-management technology to leisure and entertainment industry clients, said Tom Burnet will move from its current role as chief executive to executive chairman. John Weston, the current non-executive chairman, will step down but will remain with Accesso as senior independent director.

Steve Brown, currently chief operating officer, will become chief executive, replacing Burnet.

All three changes will become effective after the company's annual general meeting on Tuesday.

Accesso has appointed Karen Slatford to the board as a non-executive director. She is currently senior independent director on the board of Micro Focus International PLC, the FTSE 250-listed software company, and is chairman of The Foundry, the UK software group.

The changes came as Accesso said trading in 2016 has been robust so far, with organic growth in all divisions in the year to date and 18 new contracts secured.

The group said the strong start leaves it increasingly confident on meeting expectations for 2016 as a whole.

Accesso shares were down 4.0% to 1,210.00 pence.
