Acal To Meet Full Year Expectations As Sales, Orders Up

10th Apr 2014 11:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Acal PLC said Thursday that it will meet expectations for the year to March 31, 2014, as it saw sales and order growth in its Electronics business, and its three acquisitions performed well.

The advanced technology company said it had seen sales rise 22% in its Electronics business in the second-half, mostly boosted by acquisitions. Excluding acquisitions sales only rose 4%.

Orders in the Electronics business were 25% up over the previous year, also boosted by acquisitions, although up only 4% without them.

As a result, Acal's order book is 35% ahead at the start of the new financial year.

The company acquired Myrra Group, Young Electronics Group and RSG Electronics GmbH during the year.

Shares in Acal were trading up 3.7% at 339.60 pence Thursday.
