LONDON (Alliance News) - Acal PLC Tuesday said that Nick Salmon has decided to step down from the board on June 30, after he was due to become chairman of the company at the end of July.
The electronics supplier said that after further consideration of the time commitments required in addition to his other directorships, Salmon now believes that he is unable to fully provide the additional time and level of involvement required as chairman, and has consequently decided to step down.
Richard Moon will continue to fulfil the role of chairman and the board will appoint new non-executive directors in due course, Acal said.
Acal added that the new financial year is starting in line with its expectations.
Shares in Acal opened down 2.8% at 297.91 pence on Tuesday.
