LONDON (Alliance News) - Building and property development company Abbey PLC Friday said that trading in the last few months has been good, with overall activity across the group running ahead of last year.
In southern England, business has been particularly buoyant supported by the government's 'Help to Buy' programme, while its development in Lucan in Ireland is going well and the project in Delgany is now underway.
"We are actively seeking further opportunities. The group is on course for a good year," Chairman Charles Gallagher said in a statement ahead of the company's annual general meeting on Friday.
Shares in Abbey were untraded on Friday, last quoted at 1,075.00 pence.
