LONDON (Alliance News) - Property development company Abbey PLC said on Friday that trading over the summer period was steady.
In the southern England region, sales held up well due to the UK government's support for first time buyers, the company said.
In Ireland, the sales launch in Dunshaughlin Co Meath was well received, and construction of Abbey's new Navan project is progressing.
The second phase of Cornelscourt is underway and further projects in Meath and Laois will start shortly.
"Overall the group is in a good position to grow output this year," said Chairman Charles Gallagher.
Shares in Abbey were down 2.9% at 1,320.80 pence on Friday.
