AA Trading Says In Line As Decline In Paid Members Is Arrested

4th Aug 2016 06:55

LONDON (Alliance News) - Roadside assistance provider AA PLC on Thursday said trading in the first half of its financial year to the end of January met its expectations.

The FTSE 250 company said it has arrested the decline in paid personal members of its service in the half-year to the end of July and grown sales of new memberships over the same period.

AA is continuing to work on branding and advertising to grow the service and is building its digital presence, highlighting increased usage of its roadside assistance mobile app.

"The AA's resilience is evident, and we expect Brexit to have a minimal effect on our business. We remain confident of the opportunities arising from the transformation of the AA," the company said in a statement.

AA will publish interim results on September 28.
