(Alliance News) - 888 Holdings PLC on Monday said it has hired Yariv Dafna of Telit Communications PLC as its new chief financial officer.
This appointment follows 888's announcement in mid-January that, after more than 15 years as CFO, Aviad Kobrine was stepping down from the role.
The online gaming entertainment provider said Dafna will join on November 1. Kobrine will step down from the board on the same date.
Dafna leaves Telit Communications as chief financial officer, having held a number of positions with Telit since 2003. He took an active role in its initial public offering in 2005 and subsequent fundraisings, 888 noted. Dafna started his career in 1999 at Deloitte Israel.
Telit, which provides Internet of Things software and services, said it has promoted Eyal Shefer to CFO to replace Dafna, effective immediately. He joined the company back in October of last year as vice president for finance. Shefer also will join the Telit board.
"Yariv leaves with our thanks for his contribution over the last seventeen years at Telit and with our best wishes for his new role," said Telit Chair Simon Duffy.
Added 888 Chair Brian Mattingley: "Yariv's experience and drive made him the standout candidate for the role, and we are very pleased he has decided to join the group at such an important time in 888's continued growth and development."
888 shares were trading 3.1% higher in London on Monday at 195.80 pence each. Telit shares were up 3.6% at 145.00p.
