LONDON (Alliance News) - 88 Energy Ltd on Tuesday said Non-Executive Director Brent Villemarette has died as a result of a known health condition.
88 Energy said the death was unexpectedly sudden, although it did relate to a known issue. The company said that its deepest condolences went out to Villemarette's wife, family, and friends and that he would be sadly missed.
"Brent was pivotal in steering the previous iteration of 88 Energy through an extremely difficult period and his dedication was unwavering, despite the adversity," said 88 Energy Managing Director Dave Wall.
"He also provided support and advice to me, personally, and his insights and gentle manner will be greatly missed," Wall added.
Shares in 88 Energy were up 3.5% at 1.04 pence on Tuesday.
