LONDON (Alliance News) - 88 Energy Ltd said Wednesday flowback has commenced at its Icewine No 2 borehole in Alaska.
88 Energy said "based on the pressures and flow rates" it does not believe there is any "indication of any impediment to flow through perforations". It has run a production log to confirm.
According to the company, at this stage of flowback "the fluid has not been run through the separator, so the hydrocarbon rate has not been measured". Flowback through the separator and a gas chromatograph is planned for Wednesday.
A velocity string is "ready to be installed and connected to a nitrogen lift utilising a membrane unit", which is already on location.
Shares in 88 Energy were down 10% Wednesday at 2.12 pence each.
