LONDON (Alliance News) - Digital music and radio services company 7digital Group PLC said it has expanded its launch of the Juke streaming music service in Europe, with the intent of further releases.
The service was first launched in the Netherlands in April and in Germany last week. The service is expected to be launched in Spain in the coming months and eventually to be extended to all 15 territories in which partner MediaMarktSaturn operates.
In addition, on April 23, 7digital signed a three-year contract with Powerchord Ltd over the PEEX brand to provide technology and reporting services for the platform, soon to release in the UK, US and Europe, to provide improved audio experiences for those who attend live music events.
"Our core strategy has focused on developing the next generation of digital music services that combine the best of radio and streaming. The latest Juke territory launches represent the same commitment from our client MediaMarktSaturn. We've always thought that innovation in digital music services is where significant new business for 7digital will come from, and the new contract with Powerchord is a good example of that," said Chief Executive Officer Simon Cole.
7digital will release its results for 2017 on June 29.
Shares in 7digital were up 2.2% at 4.44 pence on Tuesday.
