600 Group Promotes From Within As It Sets Up New Operations Chief Post

LONDON (Alliance News) - 600 Group PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of a new chief operating officer as well as a new director of development.

600 is an industrial products firm focusing on machine tools, precision engineering components, and industrial laser systems.

Terry Allison, who previously was 600's managing director of its UK machine tools operations, has been appointed to the new role of COO, effective from the start of November.

Don Haselton will be stepping up to the role of managing director of development, having most recently been 600's managing director of the Global Machine Tool arm.

Chairman Paul Dupee said: "We are delighted Terry and Don are strengthening the senior management team in their new roles.

"We have exciting plans for 600 Group and we are putting together a team with the requisite experience and expertise to build and deliver value over the medium term."

600 also said Wednesday that trading has been in line with expectations, and it plans to release results for the six months to September on November 19.

Shares were 1.2% lower on Wednesday at a price of 16.55 pence each.
