1st Aug 2014 08:43

LONDON (Alliance News) - 3Legs Resources PLC Friday said multi-stage stimulation at the Lublewo LEP-1ST1H lateral well in Poland has been completed as planned, adding it believes it to be the largest multi-stage shale stimulation carried out to date in the country.

3Legs, the Poland-focused oil and gas explorer, said the programme comprised 25 stages and was executed across 1,469 metres from the available 1,495 metres of lateral section.

The well is now being prepared for clean-up and long-term testing, which 3Legs said it would update on in due course.

Since 2010, 3Legs and partner ConocoPhillips Co, the US energy group, have drilled a total of eight wells in the Baltic Basin are targeting two separate shale horizons and have executed stimulation programmes on six of the wells.

3Legs shares were up 1.2% to 22 pence on Friday.
