LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 100-listed private equity company 3i Group PLC on Monday said it has appointed Simon Thompson as its next chairman and has appointed Jonathan Asquith as its deputy chairman.
Thompson will take over the chairmanship after the company's annual general meeting, scheduled for June 25, after Adrian Montague steps down in order to concentrate on his other roles, including as Aviva PLC's chairman.
Thompson is currently chairman of FTSE 250-listed oil and gas company Tullow Oil PLC and is a non-executive director at Anglo-Australian miner Rio Tinto PLC.
Asquith joins the board as deputy chairman with immediate effect.
