1st Mar 2016 09:36

LONDON (Alliance News) - Transport technology company 21st Century Technology PLC on Tuesday said it has won two new contracts worth GBP500,000 in total.

21st Century said its Fleet Systems unit, based in Croydon in south London, has won a contract with an unnamed UK transport provider to work on the electrical power supply modifications work for on-board IT sub-systems. The project will start in the first half of this year and will be worth GBP300,000 to the company.

In addition, 21st Century's Integrated Systems unit has won its first urban CCTV upgrade contract with a UK local authority, worth GBP200,000. The work will involve converting the existing system to new technology, along with video management, command and control systems.

"We are delighted that these major customers have selected us to carry out these important and time sensitive upgrades and modification works," said 21st Century Chief Executive Russ Singleton.

Shares in the company were up 10% to 4.4099 pence.
