LONDON (Alliance News) - 1Spatial PLC said Tuesday that it has been awarded a "significant" long-term contract with the Ministry of Defence for the No.1 Aeronautical Information Documents Unit.
The Unit, formed to provide the UK Royal Air Force with specialist aeronautical cartographic information, and its part of the Joint Forces Intelligence Group.
Under the contract it will construct and complete the transition implementation phases of an upgrade to the Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File for the unit. This update will enable it to maintain and publish aeronautical charts and en-route bulletins that conform to the international standard for aeronautical data.
This will run along side an existing contract from the unit to provide support and maintenance for its spatial data.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Shares in 1Spatial were trading up 1.% at 6.06 pence Tuesday morning.
