IN BRIEF: McBride eyes interim profit ahead of expectations

McBride PLC - Manchester-based domestic household products' manufacturer - Expects adjusted operating profit for the six months to December 31 to be "slightly ahead" of expectations. Says revenue was 9.9% higher year-on-year from GBP426.3 million a year ago due to "volume growth and the impact of pricing actions in the last financial year to recover input cost inflation." Adds overall volumes in the half year were 6.4% higher due to continuing momentum in private label. Net debt at December 31 was GBP145.7 million, down 12% from GBP166.5 million at June 30.
