TSG joins Union of Gold Producers of Russia
Trans-Siberian Gold plc (TSG.LN) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned operating Russian subsidiaries have joined the Union of Gold Producers of Russia ("UGPR" or "Union").
Eugene Antonov, Chief Operating Officer of Trans-Siberian Gold Management LLC said,
'Joining the Union of Gold Producers of Russia is highly important for the Group. It offers opportunities to collaborate and communicate with industry partners and stakeholders. We will benefit from exchanging experience, sharing best-practices and access to up-to-date analytical surveys produced by industry experts. Membership will improve our understanding of our industry and ensure that we are informed about the most important events and developments'.
About the Union of Gold Producers of Russia
The UGPR is a large all-Russian professional association founded in 1995. Polyus, Polymetal, Kinross, Nordgold, Susumanzoloto and other leading gold mining companies are part of the Union. Members of the UGPR account for approximately 70% of gold mined in Russia. One of the main purposes of the Union is to unite mining companies and join efforts to develop the Russian gold mining and precious metals industries. The UGPR also undertakes industry analysis and regularly publishes statistics and surveys.
