TONIGHT: Ten Alps-produced Dispatches on failures in Afghanistan
Tonight the Ten Alps' Blakeway produced Dispatches programme, 'Afghanistan - Mission Impossible?,' will air on Channel 4 investigating the Head of Britain's armed forces' claim that NATO allies failed to 'adequately resource' the troops in Afghanistan.
The programme, which made headlines on Saturday 4 April in The Telegraph and on the Channel 4 News, features:
A candid interview with The Head of Britain's Armed Forces, Sir Jock Stirrup where he reasserts his accusation Nato failed its armed forces,
An analysis of how over the past six months more British troops have died fighting the Taliban than at any other period in the war
How Stephen Grey, a Sunday Times reporter, gained access to Britain's top military generals and asked whether the mission has lost direction and if anyone would ever know the war was won
'Afghanistan - Mission Impossible?' tonight, 6th April 2009, on Channel 4 at 8pm.
