Software upgrade for the LiDCOrapid
LiDCO Group Plc (AIM: LID), the cardiovascular monitoring company, is pleased to announce the release of the first software upgrade for the LiDCOrapid Monitor, the Company's surgery product. Improved features include longer display periods for the fluid response monitoring parameters and the addition of history and charting screens. This upgrade is particularly significant because it reflects feedback received since the launch of the LiDCOrapid Monitor in April 2008.
Since launch of the LiDCOrapid, customer feedback has been exceptional regarding its ease of setup, use and utility. In line with LiDCO's strategy of continuous product development, one of the aims for 2009 included evolving and improving the LiDCOrapid user interface. A follow-on software release containing additional user interface improvements has now been launched, and can be implemented on all existing and new monitors with the use of a USB key. Important new features include:
- |
User adjustable time scales for displayed parameters including trending of stroke volume and pulse pressure variations (used for guiding the volume of fluid administered to patients) - now up to 60 minutes of data can be trended |
- |
User selected event response window with continuous trending |
- |
History Screen added - with up to 24 hours of graphical trends of key parameters available for review |
- |
Chart Screen for display and recording of numerical data up to 24 hours - assists the user in the recording of readings to the patient record during or post surgery |
The new features fit in seamlessly with the current user interface, further enhancing usability without changing the core algorithms for determination of stroke volume and cardiac output.
Dr Terry O'Brien, CEO LiDCO Group commented: "We are pleased to launch these significant enhancements of the LiDCOrapid to our distributors and hospital customers. All of these added features are based on implementing customer comments received over the past year. The feedback on the new software has been very positive, with customers welcoming the benefits of the product's additional features whilst maintaining its ease of use."
