Retirement of Director

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (the "Company") announces today that Alexander Waugh, who has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company since June 2009, has notified the Company of his intention not to stand for re-election at the Company's upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on 5 May 2017 and to retire from the Board at that time. Mr Waugh presently Chairs the Company's Remuneration Committee and serves on the Audit and Nominations Committees. The Nominations Committee and Board will consider his successorship and a further update will be provided in due course.
